Crystal Lake Animal Hospital: Your Vet in Pompano Beach
Call us at (954) 941-6680

The city of Pompano Beach, in the heart of Florida's Gold Coast, is a pet-friendly destination of clear waters and white sandy beaches. It's not just the perfect place for a beach vacation, it's also home to a myriad of animal lovers, as well as a 'Canine Corner' dog park that openly welcomes four-legged family members.

Crystal Lake Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Pompano Beach area under the guidance of Dr. Christopher Melgey and Dr. Barry Landau, veterinarians with decades of experience who have made us a top destination for veterinary care.

In 2019, Crystal Lake Animal Hospital celebrates a milestone -- 45 years of serving the owners and pets of Pompano Beach. Through it all, we've remained dedicated to educating our clients, staying on top of the latest advances in veterinary technology, and treating each patient as though they were our own.

When We Say "Full-Service Veterinarian", We Mean It

When you bring your pet to our facility, you're promised an unmatched standard of care and everything under one roof. We are fully equipped to handle emergency cases, as well as routine care.

We have staff available six days a week who are trained to handle any urgent care scenario. Typically, an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians who have the ability to perform CT scans, ultrasounds, cardiac tests, and surgery if needed.

Emergencies are accepted anytime our doors are open, with referrals made to nearby '24/7' hospitals outside of our regular office hours. Rest assured, we'll work with any referral service to obtain the necessary medical information for your pet's records and establish continued care upon discharge.

Our Focus on Pet Wellness

Our goal is to establish a healthy partnership with pet owners across Pompano Beach to increase regular, preventive veterinary visits.  We want our patients and their owners to understand that early detection matters, and may even be life-saving. That's because our pets age much faster than we do, and skipping even one annual veterinary visit is roughly equivalent to a human not visiting the doctor for more than 5 years.

We not only perform routine checkups, but we also offer canine and feline vaccines and parasite testing. It's this part of an annual exam that helps us to pick up on any underlying conditions your pet may be suffering from or potentially afflicted with later on. This gives us a chance to either correct the problem or slow the condition down.
